The first meeting:

My eyes took in the sight, and I stood there in disbelief with my eyes fixed on the splintered pieces of wood still clinging to the hardware. I mentally prepared myself to accept a sound tongue lashing and pay for the damages. It was the right thing to do. I froze when the customer finally appeared in the doorway. From his strong jaw right down to his muscular forearms, he was every seventeen-year-old girl’s dream. I knew if he so much as set foot in my high school, he would have a flock of admirers in minutes. My eyes couldn’t be convinced to shift their focus off him and dipped down to the chiseled abs that his partially open top revealed. Something about him was so familiar and comforting that I felt as though I could look at him forever. Then, he ruined it and spoke. “What happened to the door? Did you light a firecracker under it?” the athletic looking teen asked with enough anger in his voice to start my eyes tearing…….
